Term 3 Coaching Update
Some important information about lessons this term..
The new term is under-way and we are excited to have everyone back on court and enjoying their tennis. We welcome all our players from last term as well as the fresh-faces joining us at the club. Just a bit of house-keeping to help ensure a smooth start.
Your Class
A reminder that all enrolments from term 2 have carried over into the new term unless you have let us know otherwise. There is no need to reserve a spot in your class, simply attend as usual. Contact our pro shop if you are uncertain of your class time or day or if you wish to make any changes to your lesson. Our 14 day cancellation policy ensures there is still time to adjust your schedules early in the term.
Make-up Lessons
We are now running make-up days twice a term for students who have missed a class. There will be one held mid-term, at the end of week 5, and another at the end of week 10. Booking your spot is essential and can be done by emailing or calling our office. Make-up day class times will be released in the lead up to the day as they can be subject to class numbers and court availability.
Hot Shots Rally Awards
The Tennis Gear Hot Shots Rally Awards have been designed to help players, parents and coaches track the four stages (Blue, Red, Orange and Green) along the Hot Shots pathway. Inside each stage there are 4 key skill areas including rallying, serving, coming to the net, and scoring/competing.
A player must complete all 4 skills to complete the award and move up a class, but will be awarded on their progress made each term with a certificate and ribbon. The difficulty level is progressed by advancing the players court position and number of shots they have to successfully complete. This is represented by the number, the higher the number the more difficult the award i.e. RED 20 is harder than RED 5. After completing the Green stage, our Hot Shots players will be ready to go on to enjoy the full game of tennis. Click here for more information on Rally Awards.
Hot Shots League
Our Hot Shots League is a fantastic introduction into fixtures where players can apply what they have learnt in their lesson and gain valuable match-play experience. We encourage all our Red, Orange and Green level students to get involved in the competition to boost their tennis and have loads of fun. Speak to your coach or club to get involved today!
