Hi, I'm Iden! I've been dedicated to Tennis Gear for a solid ten years now! I kicked off my journey as the Head Coach at the Roy Emerson Tennis Centre, where I spent eight years nurturing development squads and coaching in the hotshots program. In 2023, I transitioned to Shaw Park, taking on the role of Operations Manager. You'll find me hard at work from Monday to Friday, and I'm always present during our exciting weekend events and school holiday activities. Can't wait to connect with you all at the club that holds a special place in my heart!
Born in Townsville I played all my junior tennis in FNQ, only travelling to Brissie to play the big tournaments at Milton tennis centre (and bowling alley). After graduating high school I played college tennis in Rome, Georgia USA for 4 years. I graduated in 2001 with a bachelor of business administration and stayed an extra year to travel around the states. Following this I had a career change to the casino industry. Based in Sweden, I dealt and travelled the world for 8 years. Then it was time to get back into tennis. In 2011 I was employed at Everton tennis centre and have had many roles at TennisGear over the last 10 years. After nearly 2 years maternity leave I am currently enjoying my new role, part time in the e-commerce sector of the business.
I'm Ben Simmonds, I have been working at TennisGear for almost a year and I started in the Pro Shop at Roy Emerson Tennis Centre. I am currently training to further my skills and experience in managing a tennis centre.
I played a lot of tennis as a junior and have gotten back into it socially. I have a passion for Cycling, Tennis, and Piano. I am currently studying at a Bachelor of Business at Griffith University. In my free time you can find my riding my bike, playing tennis, or studying for university.
Todd joined the TennisGear team in late 2022 starting as a pro shop member across various centres. I began playing at the age of 6 and still play and follow the tennis circuit. With 5 years as a ballkid at the Aus open, brisbane international, fed cup and davis cup, I have learned a few things about catering to the specific needs of the world's top players and hope that I can translate my ballkid experience into delivering excellent customer service to the specific needs of the individual customer. I am very enthusiastic to start and get involved with TennisGear and its community and believe in encouraging a tennis community where people feel confident and welcomed to explore the amazing choices that TennisGear have to offer.
I am someone who prides myself on the value of time and action. I spent about 6-8 years playing tennis when I was younger and recently picked the sport back up and have really enjoyed my experience so far. I am continuing learning the sport and becoming involved in the community.
