Orange Ball

There is no minimum playing standard required to become involved in Tennis Gear’s ANZ Orange Hot Shots lessons!

As player’s progress and improve their games they will start to achieve the playing standards required to move up through the classes and levels right up to our Orange Ball Squad’s! There’s no rush though – Orange Baller’s can spend up to 3 years honing their craft on the smaller courts and developing their game.

  • Players aged 8-10.
  • Recommended racquet size: 23–25 inches (depends on child height) These racquets can be purchased cheaply at our tennis centre pro shops.
  • $27 per session.
  • Class duration 45 minutes.
  • Average Coach Ratio: 1:6

We encourage students and players to bring the following equipment to their lessons:

Racquet, hat, sport shoes, sunscreen and water bottle.

Enrol now by clicking the lick to the right or calling our office on 32661660.

Further information about our coaching program and memberships can be found by visiting our FAQ page.

After mastering the Orange Hot Shots stage, children move on to the Green stage where the ball bounces a little higher (75 per cent compression) and the court is a bit bigger.

Orange stage is for beginners. The Orange ball doesn’t bounce as high (just 50 per cent compression), making it a breeze for even the youngest players to hit it comfortably.  We believe it is important for students to play the game of tennis. We offer the opportunity to play matches under the supervision of our coaches. Further information can be found here. Hot Shots League
