BRISBANE TENNIS CLINIC
We would like to extend an invitation to your child/children for a trip to the Brisbane International on Sunday 4th January and Tennis Clinic on Monday 5th January. This trip is an excellent opportunity for our players to see the world’s best players on our doorstep.
The Brisbane International Tennis Tournamentis host to some of the world’s top tennis players including grand slam winners:
- Marin Cilic
- Lleyton Hewitt
- Juan Martin Del-Potro
- Samantha Stosur
- Maria Sharapova
- Ana Ivanovic
- and of course Roger Federer!
Very often we overlook the importance of watching professionals play. It is a fun and easy way of improving your own tennis ability. Ultimately the aim of this trip is for players to be able to analyse the top players in a way that will inspire our high performance players and help them analyse the matches. Players will be asked to find out why certain players can overcome hurdles and issues in earlier rounds to prevail amongst many other things.
This tennis trip costs $59.00 for the day and will include a 1.5 hour hitting session at the new facilities at Emerson Tennis Centre in Milton. Eight train stops from the Tennyson Tennis Venue.
Sunday 4 January
9.00am – 10.30am: On court session with coaches (at the Emerson Tennis Centre)
1030am: Catch train to Yeerongpilly – Tennis Venue
11.30am – 4.00pm: Watch professional tennis matches
All of the children will be able to attend a special question and answer session with professional doubles players on site.
Players will return to Emerson Tennis Centre at 5pm for parents to pick up.
Monday 5 January
9am-3pm Holiday Clinic (at the Shaw Park Tennis Centre)
Cost: $59 for the day.
Bring: Players are recommended to bring their own lunch, water, sunscreen and train fare.
There will be only 24 spots available so make sure your RSVP early by calling Shaw Park or Emerson tennis centre to book your spot.
Coaches : Dom Andrew, Jonnie Bell, Matt Webb and Taylor Madgwick will be running this experience for Squad players.
The player to coach ratio will be 1:6
